Professional JEWELRY CLEANERS

Caring for Sterling silver jewelry

SILVER CLEAN

Use jewelry cleaner in a well ventilated area as follows:

  • Dip dirty jewelry (no longer than 10 seconds)
  • Rinse clean
  • Wipe dry with a soft cloth

If your silver jewelry is set with stones use Jewel Clean to remove dirt and oil. Polish silver with a jewelry polishing cloth.

PLEASE SEE NEXT SECTION ABOUT Jewel Clean FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS

We offer the Hagerty Silver Clean (professional jewelry cleaner) in the large container with a basket and brush for ease of use. To clean your dirty jewelry of any oils or residue, just put your silver item in the basket, dip and rinse well under the faucet and dry. Please make sure the item is safe and secure in the basket and does not fall into your drain. Once done, you dry with a soft cloth and you let air dry (especially good to do for chains) for a while.

This 7oz container is available for $10 (plus tax). If directions are followed properly the jewelry cleaner liquid can last for months.

Please call us with any questions or make an appointment for a demo. This stuff is great and we are happy to show you how and why.

CARING FOR GOLD & NONPOROUS GEMSTONES

The most important factor to consider before cleaning your gemstones is their hardness, which reflects their durability. To measure hardness the jewelry industry uses the Mohs Scale. This gem-trade standard measures the ability of a gem or mineral to resist abrasion damage. For instance, diamonds are placed as the hardest gemstones at ten and talc is the softest at one. Hard, or nonporous, gemstones include, among others: rubies, sapphires, topaz, spinel, quartz (amethyst and citrine), alexandrite, aquamarine, and garnet.

To safely care for gold and hard (nonporous) gemstones, Hagerty Jewel Clean is the most effective liquid formula for bathing dirty jewelry. Simply soak your gold in this cleaner and use the brush to remove caked on film. Do not put, other than diamond, gemstones in this liquid if you are not sure.

We offer Hagerty Jewelry Cleaner in the large container with a brush and jewelry basket included.

The container is available for $19.00 (including tax) and comes with free refills for the life of the container. Once the cleaning solution becomes dirty, dump it at home and just bring in the container and we will refill it for you.

This is our way of helping the environment any way we can.
